A significant milestone in the field of technology education in Southeast Asia has officially begun. As the first step in an international collaboration, Codero Indonesia and STEM Academy Malaysia are hosting a joint training session in Malaysia. This marks a tangible form of cross-border cooperation aimed at strengthening teaching methods for coding and robotics for children.
This training marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration aimed at shaping the younger generation into creators of technology, not merely users. Through the exchange of knowledge and best practices, both institutions are poised to deliver technology education that is engaging, practical, and has a broad impact in the region.
During this training session, the teaching teams from Codero and STEM Academy shared experiences, learning methods, and best approaches for teaching coding and robotics to children ranging from early childhood to adolescence. The main focus: how to create a learning environment that is fun, relevant, and fosters critical and creative thinking.
“We believe that children are not merely users of technology, but future innovators. Through this collaboration, we want to instill that spirit from an early age,” said Arif Puji Gunarto, Head of Unit at Codero Indonesia, during the training session.
Collaboration for the Future of Digital Education
This collaboration brings together not only two institutions, but also two grand visions: making technology education more accessible, practical, and enjoyable for children across Southeast Asia.
During the intensive full-day training, participants—comprising trainers and facilitators from both sides—delved into topics such as:
Robotics practices for elementary school-aged children
Strategies for fostering creativity and problem-solving in the classroom
Case studies of successful technology teaching in local settings
Singgih, one of the mentors from Codero, emphasized that this training is crucial as it serves as the foundation for strengthening the quality of educators.
“As teachers grow, children will grow alongside them. And this training provides many fresh insights that we can bring back and apply in Indonesia,” he said.
From Collaboration to Innovation: Codero and STEM Academy Malaysia Unite in a Shared Mission
This partnership also opens the door to future cross-border programs. STEM Academy Malaysia, long recognized as a pioneer in technology education for children in its home country, warmly welcomes Codero as a like-minded partner.
“We are delighted to exchange best practices. When two countries learn from one another, children on both sides will be better prepared to face this increasingly digital world,” said Nurul Ramziah Bt Olly Mohamadhu, a senior educator at STEM Academy.
This joint training marks the first step in a series of long-term collaborations between Codero and STEM Academy Malaysia.
A joint initiative aimed at preparing the younger generation not only to keep up with technological advancements but also to help shape them.
With a collaborative spirit and aligned vision, Codero and STEM Academy are optimistic that technology education will become more inclusive and have a broader impact, starting with today’s training session.
This first step is a small foundation leading to a giant leap. Moving forward, the collaboration between Codero and STEM Academy Malaysia will continue to grow, not only through teacher training but also through cross-border learning initiatives, exchange programs, and the development of adaptive and relevant future technology curricula.
Because we believe: the future isn’t just something to prepare for, but something to create together. And today, that journey has begun in a classroom in Malaysia.
