There is some truly heartwarming news for all of us. The “Vionix” team, comprised of high-achieving students from Global Islamic School (GIS) 2 Serpong, has just achieved a remarkable feat by securing a spot in the Top 10 Nationally at the 2026 National Standardization Competition (KSN).
This extraordinary success reflects the students’ dedication, combined with intensive mentoring from Codero mentors. Through precise guidance and patient coaching, the Vionix team was able to translate complex ideas into innovations recognized on a national level.
Getting to Know KSN: A Stage for Future Global Innovators
For members of the Visioner Family who may not be familiar with it, KSN is a prestigious competition organized by the National Standardization Agency (BSN). This event aims to discover Indonesia’s best young talent to compete at the international level. Interestingly, this competition adopts the concept of a world-class Olympiad held annually in South Korea.
This year, the competition truly put their quick thinking to the test. The Vionix team had to compete against 64 teams from 37 top schools from all over Indonesia. However, thanks to their well-developed strategies and mastery of the material under the guidance of their mentors from Codero, they successfully proved their quality.
AI Innovations to Protect Our Beloved Earth
This year’s theme is highly relevant to future challenges: “AI for the Environment” — AI Technology for Climate Change & Disaster Early Warning Systems, covering aspects such as performance, safety methods, interoperability, and guidelines**”**. The members of the Vionix team were tasked with designing how smart technology could serve as a disaster early warning system and help us address climate change.
Their fresh ideas were evaluated based on four key criteria:
Relevance to the theme
Understanding and innovation regarding standards
Feasibility of standard documents
Writing structure
One Step Closer to South Korea
This proud journey continues. After advancing to the top 10, the Vionix team will face the final presentation round. The prize is truly special: in addition to cash prizes and certificates, the top three teams will have the opportunity to fly to South Korea to represent Indonesia at the International Standard Olympiad.
