Codero is a technology, coding, and robotics learning center in Indonesia dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and technological understanding from an early age. We offer a variety of programs that can be integrated into both in-school and after-school activities.
We believe that every child has boundless imagination. As a technology learning center, our mission is simple: to help children hone their creativity and logic from an early age through fun and engaging methods. This year, we’re taking a bigger step. Codero, in partnership with STEM Malaysia, is proud to present the ASEAN Coding Competition (ACC) 2026.
Perhaps there has been a perception that the world of programming or coding belongs only to adults. However, through this children’s coding competition, we want to prove that great ideas can come from children’s minds.
In this competition, the little ones will be invited to create using Scratch. Parents don’t need to worry about complicated lines of code; in Scratch, children simply arrange visual blocks—just like playing a puzzle—to create animations, games, and even interactive stories. This is the easiest and most fun way to practice systematic thinking without making them feel overwhelmed.
Making Friends and Competing on an International Level
With the theme “Creative Kids, Bright Future,” this competition serves as a platform for children from across Southeast Asia—from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore to the Philippines. This is a Scratch coding competition for children ages 6–12 that offers an extraordinary experience for young participants to experience the atmosphere of international collaboration from an early age.
Imagine how proud your child will feel when their work is recognized at the regional level, while also gaining a broader perspective through interacting with peers from diverse cultures.
ACC 2026 competition categories
We’ve divided the competition to ensure fairness and alignment with children’s developmental stages:
Primary A / Lower Level: For ages 6–9.
Primary B / Upper Level: For ages 10–12.
ASEAN Coding Competition 2026 Schedule
Here is the schedule for ACC 2026 so your child can prepare well:
Registration deadline: April 30, 2026
Participants must complete the online registration form and submit the required information before the deadline. Late submissions will not be processed.
Free workshop: May 2–3, 2026
A free session to help participants who have never used Scratch get started with confidence.
Submission of entries: May 9, 2026
Semifinals: May 14, 2026
Finals: May 16, 2026
Announcement of winners: May 18, 2026
