The Codero National Competition 2024 officially kicked off at Transpark Mall Bintaro on October 26, 2024. Organized by Codero, an educational platform focused on developing coding and robotics skills, the event invited children and teenagers from all over Indonesia to compete in six exciting categories: Speed Building, Scratch Coding, Roblox, Arduino, Robot Challenge, and Coloring. Hundreds of participants and visitors attended, ready to take part in the fun and challenges filled with creativity and innovation.
With a commitment to fostering young people’s interest in technology, the Codero National Competition 2024 provided a platform for participants to develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) skills from an early age. This event is expected to spark curiosity and problem-solving skills among children, while introducing basic concepts of technology and art.
“Let’s introduce and foster in children a love for robotics curriculum materials, which should become a standard practice in every school at all levels,” said Mr. Ahmad Sadeli, Head of the Madrasah Education Section at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Depok City.
Categories of the Codero National Competition 2024:
Speed Building: Participants compete to assemble components quickly and precisely, honing their hand-eye coordination and strategic skills.
Scratch Coding: Testing participants’ basic skills in visual programming using Scratch, participants are challenged to create simple animations or games.
Roblox: Participants build their own virtual worlds on the Roblox platform, practicing design and simple coding to create interactive environments.
Arduino: A challenge to design electronic projects using microcontrollers, aimed at introducing the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT).
Robot Challenge: Participants program robots to complete specific missions, honing their logical and creative skills.
Coloring: A coloring category with technology and future themes, allowing children to express their creativity through visual art.
The event also features various interactive booths, robotics demos, and consultation sessions on coding and technology learning with Codero. Visitors experience a fun and inspiring atmosphere of technology education.
